    Expectations of Parents and Swimmers

    Volunteering:

Big Spring has the largest team in the CCSA. As such, we must rely on the parents to keep the children organized and events running smoothly at each of our meets, both home and away. Before each meet, we will send out a request for volunteers for different areas. Each Barracuda parent is expected to volunteer for at least one meet during the season. Volunteer opportunities range from race timers to runners to place judges to tent volunteers.

    Participation:

We ask for your help getting your children to practices. In order for the children to improve and get the most out of their experience, they need to attend as many practices as possible. Please help us by making sure the children make it to practices at the time designated for their age group. We also ask that you mark the meet dates on your calendars and attend as many meets as possible. Our season is only 7 weeks long – consistent participation will help us ensure the Mamba Mentality is maximized.

    Communication:

The coaches and reps will be communicating regularly via email, text, and through the team website. We ask that parents regularly check emails and the website in order to follow the latest news and announcements. The website will be the place where you will sign up to volunteer as well as sign your children up for the meets.

    Spirit Wear:

The team has great spirit wear for the kids and parents. We ask that your child has the team suit and wears their team shirt to all meets. The parents are asked to wear the parent spirit wear for the meets. All spirit wear will be on the website and available for purchase beginning at the registration day.
